Eschilo e la lirica. Osservazioni sulla parodo e sul primo stasimo dei Sette contro Tebe
Abstract
This paper aims to reconstruct the linguistic and thematic connections between the parodos and the first stasimon of Aeschylus’ Seven Against Thebes and the surviving production that can be variously traced back to the poetic phenomenon of lyric poetry. Thus, the analysis mainly focuses on the tragedian’s vocabulary, in which a direct or primary dependence on those texts can be recognised, and on the rhetorical figures with which Aeschylus rewrites this material.
