Abstract

One of the lesser-known yet highly significant editorial formats of film music is that of the so-called ‘miniature scores’, which became part of a lasting editorial tradition in the post-World War II era. Designed for domestic performance, these materials played a key role in popularizing the themes of famous films among broad audiences. This article examines the phenomenon by focusing on its presence within the musical life of Palazzo Giustinian Lolin in Venice, the residence of Ugo and Olga Levi.
