dc.description.abstract	Torture and racism share a fundamental tendency: both impose on humans the status of sub-humans; both are linked to each other by an embrace that, at the same time, reveals and conceals. The article analyzes this link by focusing on dehumanizing torture, as in this typology it is simpler to be observed. After a thorough review of the theoretical and historical framework, the paper focuses on the ‘Regina Pacis case’ which provides tangible insights for general reflection.
