Progettazione e valutazione, tra ‘buone prassi’ e web
abstract
Several changes drive us to think over the ways of social planning: new needs, missing resources, new web opportunities, more citizens’ participation, but more individualism too. Every social plan must now be assessed with a rigorous methodology. New opportunities offered by web can be exploited; in particular, the Internet offers possibilities for follow up evaluation and group techniques. On the other hand, the ambivalence of the web must be taken into account: it gives great opportunities but carries some risks, too. Actual, not just apparent, citizens’ participation is necessary for social planning. We have to distinguish between citizens’ activism and managers’ activism. Accountability is necessary toward all stakeholders. This is the right way to practice fund raising (and to evaluate it) to replace resources that have been cut down. We show how the method of benchmarking is useful to develop the good practices of successful plannings.
