Tra fruizione e impiego del dialetto abruzzese su Instagram
Abstract
This study combines a qualitative analysis of Abruzzese-focused Instagram pages with a survey of 100 participants in Val Vibrata, investigating language use and attitudes in everyday life and online. While respondents report strong competence and positive attitudes towards the dialect, active use on social media remains limited, despite forms of interaction with the related content can be observed. This pattern cuts across gender and age, although older participants are more likely to comment publicly. The findings highlight a tension between passive engagement and active use, reflecting the complex dynamics of local language revitalisation.
