Abstract
I due sintagmi, al singolare e al plurale, oggetto di questo capitolo costituiscono gli antecedenti formali e semantici del nome moderno del dramma satiresco, nelle varie lingue degli studi (satyr drama, drame satyrique etc.). Tuttavia, come designazioni di genere non unite ad un titolo preciso di opera, essi non sono affatto diffusi e comuni nelle fonti antiche e bizantine: le attestazioni si limitano a due decine scarse sui molti secoli di produzione letteraria ed erudita presi in considerazione, fino agli scritti di Giovanni Tzetze.
