Volume 16 | Review | Marco Polo. Le Devisement dou monde
Abstract
The text of the Devisement dou monde (or Milione, according to the Italian tradition) transmitted by the Parisian codex fr. 1116 represents the form linguistically closest to the original discursive surface of the work of Marco Polo. After the 2010 edition, Mario Eusebi revised the lesson: the fruit of this revision (already available to the reader in the digital edition of Dei viaggi di Messer Marco Polo di Giovanni Battista Ramusio, in this series, vol. 5) returns to the traditional book-form, accompanied by the full glossary and indexes of names and place names, edited by Eugenio Burgio.
