Fronteras, vida cotidiana, migración
abstract
This article is based on a reflection on the concept of frontier, to present a double premise, that everyday life has undergone a radical transformation in the last twenty years and that this transformation has been particularly striking in the Mediterranean area. An overview of several ways of analysing everyday life is presented, complemented with the discussion on some examples from contemporary Spanish cinema. There is an emphasis on the common attitude of the exiled and the emigrated, that is the defence before a foreign culture, thus perpetuating a life in the margins, emphasizing that daily life, in its apparent difficulty of being detected, has a marginal centrality.
