Chapter | Dante tra i predicatori del Quattrocento
Abstract
The essay focuses on the reception of Dante in 15th c. preaching by discussing two of the most important sermon collections of the period: those by, respectively, Gabriele Barletta and Paolo Attavanti. By analysing different Dantean quotes from both those collections, the essay aims to shed some light on the interpretation and the use of Dante’s verses made by late-medieval preachers.
