Le Società della Salute oltre la sperimentazione
Innovazioni organizzative nel sistema socio-sanitario toscano
abstract
In 2004, the so-called ‘Società della Salute’, a consortium to which local governments and local health authorities take part, was established in Tuscany with the aim of a larger integration between sanitary and social services. The case study method, a mix of literature and legislation research and empirical investigation through interviews and document analysis, has been chosen to interpret this special kind of network. Especially, the study underlines the organizational and strategic planning tools which have led Società della Salute to the present con guration. The rst (organizational) one is based on a process approach that exceeds traditional functional structure; the second (strategic planning) one is about decision making model with many planning levels and actors, whose actions are always subjected to limits in discretionary power. In this way, the paper analyses these managerial choices and their effectiveness for integration between social services and health care.
