Jorge Binaghi (20th century), translator and philologist. Binaghi studied Classical Philology at the University of Barcelona, where he received his doctorate. He has taught Greek, Latin, and Spanish grammar at the University of Buenos Aires and subsequently worked as a translator and reviser for the Spanish Language Division of the institutions of the European Union. In addition to his translations of Greek and Latin texts, Binaghi translated works by medieval and early modern authors into Spanish.

Translation of Thuc. 6.8.3-14 (Speech of Nicias). The translation appears alongside selections translated from numerous Greek authors, ranging from Homer to Libanius.

The volume was edited by Francesca Mestre 1956) classicist and Professor of Greek Philology at the University of Barcelona. Her research focuses on Greek literature and culture of the Hellenistic and Roman Imperial periods, particularly on the Second Sophistic and Greek intellectual life under Roman rule.
