Two volumes. Introduction by José Alsina Clota (1926-1993), classical philologist, Professor of Greek Philology at the University of Barcelona. A versatile scholar, Alsina Clota authored works on Greek mythology, literature and philosophy. He also produced insights on modern Greek poets such as Seferis and Cavafis, and explored the influence of classical culture on Catalan authors like Ausiàs March and Carles Riba. Moreover, he rendered into Catalan works by Theocritus, Euripides, and Hippocrates, and into Castilian texts by Lucian of Samosata, Aeschylus, Euripides, Thucydides, and Menander.
