Two volumes. Text and Latin translation from Duker-Wasse 1731. With Variae lectiones to the Greek text mainly collected by Jacques Toussain (1498-1547), humanist. Born in Troyes into the Toussain de Beaumont family – later associated with the Huguenot exile – Toussain was a student of the renowned humanist Guillaume Budé. In 1530, he was appointed professor of Greek at the newly founded Collège Royal in Paris (later the Collège de France). Toussain's scholarly work focused on Greek philology and lexicography.
