A Commentary on Thucydides. Simon Hornblower

Simon Hornblower (1949-), classical scholar and historian. Hornblower was a Prize Fellow at All Souls College, Oxford, and later taught Ancient History at Oriel College, Oxford. From 1998 to 2010, he was Professor of Classics and Ancient History at University College London and held the Grote Chair of Ancient History. In 2010, he returned to All Souls College as a Senior Research Fellow. His major works are on Greek historiography and literature. He has also contributed to the Lexicon of Greek Personal Names and co-edited the 3rd and 4th editions of the Oxford Classical Dictionary. He was elected Fellow of the British Academy in 2004. BritAc
