Content: The Sicilian Expedition

Percival Frost (1817-1898), mathematician. Frost became a fellow of St John's College and was later associated with Jesus College and King's College, Cambridge, as a mathematics lecturer. He edited Newton's Principia (1854) and co-authored A Treatise on Solid Geometry (1863), both widely used as textbooks. His research covered algebra, geometry, electricity, magnetism, and solar system theory. Elected Fellow of the Royal Society in 1883, he also held a fellowship at King's College from that year. ODBN

Reprint of Frost 1854 – containing the text and commentary on Book 6 – with the addition of the text and commentary on Book 7. The work was revised and published in a new edition in 1877 – see Frost 1877.
