Raffaele Cantarella (1898-1977), classical philologist, Byzantinist, director of the Officina dei Papiri Ercolanesi at the National Library in Naples from 1929 to 1938, Professor of Greek Literature and Byzantine Philology at the University of Milan. His scholarly work encompassed studies on Homeric epics, Greek tragedy (Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides), comedy (Aristophanes, Menander), and Byzantine literature. Treccani

Carmine Coppola (1915-1986), secondary school teacher of Latin and Greek literature at the Liceo Tasso in Salerno. From 1965 to 1973, Coppola was principal at various high schools in the province, and later Professor of Greek palaeography in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Salerno.

Edited by Gian Enrico Manzoni (1952-), Adjunct Professor of Latin Didactics at the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy at the Università Cattolica, Brescia campus. Manzoni translated works by Sophocles and Cicero.
