August Immanuel Bekker (1785-1871), classical philologist and Professor at the University of Berlin. Bekker produced critical editions of numerous authors, including Aristotle, Plato, the Suda, the Attic orators, Aristophanes and Thucydides. He was elected a Foreign Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1861. DB

Four Volumes: voll. 1-3 (Greek text), vol. 4 (Latin translation). It differs from Bekker 1821 in that it includes the Latin translation.
