Research Article | Precariousness, Subjectivity and Trauma in the Novel of the Crisis
Abstract
La trabajadora by Elvira Navarro (2014) shows the effects that the global economic crisis has on part of the Spanish society. This novel shows the psychological pathologies caused by a society in crisis, through the degradation of the labour market and the land, displacement and marginalization. Concepts like ‘illness’ or ‘disorder’ not only have a intrapsychic interpretation, but also a social one.
