Research Article | For a Concept of Afro-Brazilian Literature
Abstract
The present article debates the concepts of black literature and afro-brazilian literature from the existent debates in our history and literary critics. Taking as a reference the production of afro-descendent authors from the XIX and XX centuries. Also, it tries to establish a group of elements that, once reunited, may present references of distinction that provides the specificity of the afro-brazilian literature along with the brazilian ‘tout court’ literature.
