A Mirroring Effect. Themes and Problems from relationes ad limina for a Profile of the Italian Episcopate After World War II
Abstract
The essay examines some cases of relationes ad limina of Italian bishops after World War II, highlighting themes and paths of research for a profile of the history of the Italian Catholic Church in the 1940s and 1950s, between resistance to social transformations and nostalgia for Christianity.
