Una grammatica interculturale di riferimento: dall’idea allo strumento operativo
Abstract
This essay is the fifth in a series that intertwines theoretical and practical dimensions regarding the theme of grammar. Specifically, it focuses on intercultural grammar and offers a tool for describing it, available in the Centre for Research on Educational Linguistics at Ca’ Foscari University (open access, www.unive.it/crdl). This project, Communication between Italians and other peoples, has involved hundreds of authors and collaborators worldwide and currently encompasses some thirty countries. The project allows for continuous integration, correction, modification, and – above all – translation, making it accessible to people ranging from absolute beginners in Italian to those with frequent professional or social interactions with Italians. In this sense, the Project’s materials do more than just supplement communicative competence with cultural insights; they serve as a tool for anyone wishing to facilitate communication between peoples – a tool for peace.
