Research Article | La folla delinquente e degenerata nella novellistica dannunziana, all’ombra di Nordau e Sighele
Abstract
Nordau, Sighele and d’Annunzio, in their works, have considered the psychology of the crowd, especially when it is the protagonist of violent riots. Everyone believes that mass violence derives from the tendency of individuals to commit crimes when they are part of the crowd. This is confirmed by d’Annunzio’s novelistic production, especially in the Novelle della Pescara. Gli idolatri and La morte del duca d’Ofena are especially relevant here.
