Abstract
It frames the research context of Bangladeshi communities in Venice, aiming to outline their sociocultural background integrating available scientific literature with empirical tools – interviews, ethnographic observations and a questionnaire administered to 100 Bangladeshi people. After exploring Bangladesh’s historical, geographical, and demographic features, it analyses questionnaire responses on migration motivations, main employment sectors and language skills.
