crossmark logo

Abstract
The contribution, based on a report by Cassius Dio, according to which Tiberius, in 6 BC, on his way to the island of Rhodes, forced the inhabitants of Paros to sell him the statue of Hestia to send it as a gift to Rome to be placed in the Temple of Concord in the Forum, aims to propose a new interpretation of the message expressed by Livia’s son through a communication per imagines.
