Abstract
The chapter focuses on the most relevant features of Greek medicine in its historical development, highlighting the main factors of ‘rationality’ and ‘irrationality’ by means of a comparison with Egyptian medicine, in the attempt to outline a framework of interactions and cross‑connections.
