dc.description.abstract	The contribution deals with the theme of the relationship between the political sphere and labour law in Luigi Mariucci’s intellectual and cultural experience. The Author highlights that, according to Mariucci, labour law has been a functional substitute for political activity, his first passion, but also a prerequisite for political action, because it helped him to understand and interpret the social power distribution in society. Lastly, and above all, for Mariucci, labour law has represented, as such, a field of political intervention, not only in terms of legal policy but also in terms of the interpretation and reconstruction of legal institutions and norms.
