dc.description.abstract	The current crisis of the welfare state, due to its economic indefensibility, induces social and health policies to rediscover the value of community and solidarity, as it is indicated in the second article of the Repubblic Costitution. The community, heretofore obsolete and unable to listen to people’s needs, has to become the place in which human relations are reactivated. Therefore, it is necessary the birth of a new culture, able to educate to solidarity, volunteering and the disinterested gift and to promote community as a reality that cures the social. A community, understood in this way, takes on a new role, that of real protagonist, capable of offering support to those who need it, before it is required.
