Abstract
The article is dedicated to one of the oldest Venetian texts, the so-called Recordacione by Piero Corner, with the aim of examining some lexical details: in particular, it focuses on the meaning of the words miliara and miliaro ‘thousand’ (lines 5 and 6); on the geographical distribution of the word caso ‘cheese’ (lines 5 and 7); and especially on the exact meaning of the word stoire ‘mat’ (line 7).
