Abstract
The feminist gaze has permeated postcrisis fiction by women in Spain. In the first part, this chapter explores the ongoing and necessary fight for bodily autonomy, analyzing it through the lens of vulnerability and the poetics of the obscene. The second part shifts focus to the exposure of structural violence, made visible through narratives that juxtapose the period before and after the emergence of feminist consciousness. Finally, the chapter underscores the struggle for a form and language free from the constraints of ‘the master’s voice’.
