Abstract
Giulio Partesotti (Padua 1937-Venice 2004) graduated in 1960 in Law at Bologna University, where he was a pupil of Walter Bigiavi. He moved to Venice for the position of permanent assistant at Ca’ Foscari. He obtained the chair of law in 1976 and became Full Professor in 1979. During the Ca’ Foscari years he taught bankruptcy law, financial market law and private insurance law. He was the author of numerous publications on commercial law. Enrolled in the Bar of Venice, he was a member of commissions of the Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Electoral Guarantee Commission at the Court of Appeal of Venice from 1996 to 2002. In 2002 he was awarded by the Accademia dei Lincei the ex aequo prize for studies in insurance sciences.
