Politics of Gratitude: A Note on Cic. Phil. 7.23
Abstract
This note discusses Cicero’s reference to the contribution of Firmum and the Marrucini to the early stages of the mobilisation against Mark Antony in 43 BCE, and sets them in the context of Cicero’s previous connections with those communities.
