Abstract
The publication brings together contributions by university professors, art critics, and students who took part in the artistic project Paesaggi da Sognare.
The University of Verona – in collaboration with the University Iuav of Venice, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, the University of Padua, and the French artist Lisa Ouakil, winner of the Sustainable Art Prize 2023 – has developed a project focused on sustainability. The project, through the active involvement of university communities and the use of artistic language, has created a space for reflection on the natural landscape and its transformations caused by human activity, with a focus on the local territory.
Lisa Ouakil’s corpus of works evokes the evolution of the Venetian landscapes in the context of climate change and industrial activity, through the prism of colour, poetry, and narrative.
Keywords Contemporary art • Climate change • Venice lagoon • Landscape transformation • Sustainability
