Abstract

Declarations of notable public interest are administrative measures and are, at the same time, authentic sources testifying to ways of perceiving the landscape and grasping its values and risks, as aspects that together have always driven protection. The aim of the essay is to attempt a diachronic reading of the declarations of landscape protection by attempting to set out a narrative pertaining to the landscape of the lagoon of Venice since the 1950s.
