Abstract
Chapter 3 focuses on the work of al-Bīrūnī as a key figure in continuing Ṯābit ibn Qurra’s hydrological sciences. Al-Bīrūnī builds on Ṯābit’s foundations, examining water’s properties, its cycle, and its impact on the environment. The chapter highlights al-Bīrūnī’s contributions to understanding the hydrological cycle, the properties of water, and their implications for the natural world.
