Abstract
The section is a magical and almighty creative tool, for architects, surgeons, butchers, artists and writers. Anne Carson herself acknowledged her admiration for a zen butcher who made a precise cut in a certain part of the body and the whole carcass was broken into pieces. It was there, in that house of courts, where she surely learned to hoarse words and ‘cesurate’ verses. Like the enthusiastic doctor, the author incoculates inoculates himself with the virus he researches to know with maximum precision the effects it produces. In this way, this essay proposes to delve into the bowels of three literary architectures with the idea of recording the action. An effective instrument that can be applied both to a story by John Cheever, George Perec and to an abandoned residential house in Englewood, New Jersey.
