Abstract
Lycia Contursi-Lisi Gardani (1920-2004) taught private law until 1990; she graduated in high school focusing on humanities having as a teacher the philosopher Norberto Bobbio. She published texts focused on humanities but her calling was for juridical studies. One of her professors was Francesco Santoro Passelli at the University of Padua and her first monographs in the ’50 awarded her with a lecturing post. She started teaching at Ca’ Foscari when it was still called University Institute for Economic and Trade, where she met Walter Bigiavi. Her publications can be found in the most important Italian legal editorial collections.
