Chapter | Un mondo modernista?
Abstract
The essay presents comparative remarks on the numerical diffusion of reports on Modernism, on the curial management of the operation, on the anti-modernism framework of Pascendi (Councils of vigilance and press Censorship in particular), on the comprehension of the modernist issue as it emerges from the reports’ authors. The research shows that several bishops do not consider Modernism the obsessive problem represented by the papacy of Pius X.
