dc.description.abstract	In the last few years the development of experimental techniques and the increase of computational possibilities allowed a significant step ahead in the field of Paper Preservation Science. However, some key results are still neglected by paper scientists. This study shortly reviews some recent achievements (quoted in the bibliography) that deserve further analysis. The proposed examples are related to the rate of paper decay in accelerated ageing experiments, to the FTIR analysis of gelatine sizing, of degraded iron gall inks and of biotic foxing.
