Inscriptions in the Theatre of Syracuse

Abstract

Five inscribed squared blocked, once reused in the Roman period of the theatre of Taormina, are now preserved inside the western parodos of the building. Each block bears the genitive of a noun and it is followed by a numeral in at least two cases. The epigraphs fall within the palaeographic scenery of the second century BC.
