Panorama y efectos del entrelazamiento en el Quijote
abstract
In addition to offering a great variety of narrative transition formulas, in Don Quixote interlacing has a triple function: a balancing instrument in the making of the story; a strategy for the construction of diegesis; and an opportunity to expand the space and functions of the enunciative system. By means of this triple function of interlacing, Cervantes distances himself from his triple intertextual model (the two Orlandos and Amadís), to lay the foundations for a new way to conceive narrative.
