dc.description.abstract	This paper focuses on Dantean echoes in the comic stories written by Guido Martina for Disney Italia. The study moves from Martina’s masterpiece, L’Inferno di Topolino (1949-1950), the first of the Grandi Parodie Disney, and will then analyse two less-known comic stories (Paolino Pocatesta e la bella Franceschina and Saga di Messer Papero e Ser Paperone), full of relevant allusions which prove Martina’s deep acquaintance with Dante’s works. The paper will also offer an historical contextualisation of each comic story.
