abstract

After the World War 2 the birth of the European Society of Culture, founded in Venice by Umberto Campagnolo, was the basis for the development of a culture of peace and democracy that directly involved Ca’ Foscari University’s professors. Giovanni Stiffoni (1934-1994), in particular, worked as a scholar and teacher to develop relations with Spain as this gradually emerged from the dictatorship.
