L’Ambleto di Testori, ovvero Ruzante a Lomazzo
Schede storiche e linguistiche
abstract
This paper focuses on linguistic and literary intersections between Testori’s Ambleto (1972) and Ruzante’s theatre, with particular attention to the comedy named Moschetta. Moschetta had been recited by Franco Parenti and Testori – as he himself testifies – was crucially influenced by this staging, and especially by the language Parenti used in order to recreate Ruzante’s dialect. This paper tries to document the importance of that experience with respect to the Ambleto and to its contaminated and extremist language, pointing out some specific features that Testori might have taken from Moschetta.
